One of the tallest towers in downtown, Tuscaloosa, The AmSouth bank building features a lighted sign on top of it; an antiquated sign similar to current LED signs but built with regular incandescent lights, usually displaying the time of day.

Built in 1986, the DCH Cancer Treatment Center in Tuscaloosa, AL has served as one of the best and most highly advanced centers of its kind in west Alabama.










T-Town photo of the day: The Alston Building in downtown

Constructed in 1909, the Alston Building was Tuscaloosa's first skyscraper ever built. The seven-story building once held the designation as the tallest structure on a dirt street in the United States and was originally the tallest structure east of the Mississippi River - and even that was a creation to give the building more prominence.
