T-Town photo of the day: Lake Tuscaloosa

Conveniently located near The University of Alabama campus, and downtown Tuscaloosa, Lake Tuscaloosa is a reservoir that was created by damming North River. It was constructed to provide water for T-Town's residents and for industrial use as well. It was completed in 1970 at a cost of about $7,725,000. The lake is also very popular for recreational activities. Lake Tuscaloosa was constructed in response to the rising population of Tuscaloosa, which began to consume more water than its two current reservoirs, Harris Lake and Lake Nicol, could provide.

T-Town Photo of the day: Houndstooth Sports Bar

Located in the heart of The Strip, and within walking distance of The University of Alabama campus, lies the legendary Houndstooth Sports Bar. Since its opening in 1988, the Houndstooth has established itself as one of the top bars in the city of Tuscaloosa. It was also voted the "Number 1 Sports Bar in America" by Sports Illustrated.

And BOOM goes the dynamite!

What this basically means is what I've repeatedly said in recent years... since 1980, nothing Aubarn has accomplished is legitimate. Even out of sheer generosity, I was willing to give Aubarn the six game win streak over Alabama from 2002-2006, simply because of Alabama's wrong doings in the Logan Young case, despite the 2004 Sociology scandal. But even then, Stanley McClover and David Irons' recent statements have forced me to reconsider my generosity.

You are nothing Aubarn, which is why you have to pay players in order to reign supreme. Why? Because take a look at your town. It's a boring, backwoods cesspool that no player in their early 20s would want to waist four years of their life in, when they have opportunities to live in urban cities where life exists outside of college... unless of course they were paid a hefty amount of money.

What you DON'T KNOW behind the Toomer's Corner tree poisoning...

By now, we've all heard the sappy story concerning the poisoning of the Toomer's Oak tree. We've all mourned. We've all hugged a fellow Aubarn fan. And almost everyone has said, "Why on Earth would a loss in football drive a fan this mad?"

Hold it right there...

As most of the national pundits are saying, this particular Alabama fan (Harvey Updyke) was livid and frustrated over the fact that Aubarn won the national championship and Alabama blew a 24 point lead at home. HOWEVER, Harvey's call to Finebaum stated otherwise. He claimed his motive behind the tree poisoning was "vengeance". For what you ask? Defacing Alabama's Walk of Champions and historical statues (Three Times following the 2010 Iron Bowl as a matter of fact), and vandalizing Nick Saban's house and Bear Bryant's grave on several occasions.

What Harvey did was worse, I admit. But at the end of the day, this was merely a case of "if you slap my cat then I'm going to slay your dog". Aubarn fans started it, and an Alabama fan finished it.

Not to mention the goathumpers of Mayberry U sent death threats to Updyke and his innocent family, forcing them to relocate to Louisiana. In addition, the beating Updyke received at an Opelika gas station after a court hearing. To anyone with more than half a brain, verbally and physically assaulting a human being is ten times worse than poisoning a replaceable tree.

Lesson learned, Aubarn Fans: You reap what you sow.
